The Jive 10km Big Walk has enjoyed good success since inception in the year 2000 with 7500 walker participating in the event.  It is a community 10km Big Walk which was primarily launched as a fund raising endeavour.

The Red Cross Children’s Hospital amongst others have been the main beneficiaries for the last nine years. The walk has had unprecedented growth and became the biggest 10km walk in South Africa in the year 2004 when we exceeded 20 000 walkers.
