Maximising recycling is our speciality

We are experts in smart waste management, ensuring that every possible material that can be recycled is recycled. Our on-site waste management approach includes deploying dedicated staff to manage waste streams, maintain a clean environment, and optimise commercial waste recycling. We make sure waste is sorted correctly to extract the highest value from the recycling market, and if an item cannot be recycled, we find the most responsible waste disposal solution.

Every item recycled is an item diverted from landfill, directly improving your environmental impact. Plus, our business waste recycling program includes a rebate for recyclables sold, generating savings for your business.

With sustainable reporting, you gain real-time insights into your waste removal progress through our secure online platform. With over 350 sites across South Africa, we deliver tailored smart waste management services that align with your zero waste to landfill goals.

Waste Management Services | Waste Streams

Waste Streams

Here is what happens to the waste:

  • Wet Waste/Organic Waste is separated from the Non-Recyclable or contaminated general waste.
  • Organic/Wet waste can be used for Composting.
  • General Waste is removed to a registered landfill site for disposal.
  • Organic Waste
  • Food Waste
  • Liquid Waste

All of the above is used for composting.

Recyclables are sorted per category

  • Cardboard
  • Paper
  • Plastic
  • Tetrapack
  • Glass
  • Steel

Sorted Materials are collected on site and taken to a Material Recycling Facility (MRF) where it is baled. Materials are then sold to recyclers.

Our clients receive a REBATE for all recyclable materials sold from their site.

Hazardous Waste is waste with properties that are harmful on the environment or human health

There are 4 Classes of Hazardous Waste

  1. Explosives
  2. Gases
  3. Flammable Liquids
  4. Flammable
  5. Solids/Substances

Here at WastePlan we collect and recycle some hazardous items like fluorescent tubes.

Other hazardous waste is removed to a registered hazardous waste landfill site and disposal certificates are provided.
